Dr. K. Ravishankar, MD is a Specialist in Headache Medicine. He has trained in ‘Headache Management’ at The Houston Headache Clinic and at The City of London Migraine Clinic. He is affiliated with Jaslok and Lilavati Hospitals in Mumbai and is into exclusive Headache Practice at ‘The Headache and Migraine Clinic’ at Sion, Mumbai.

Dr. Ravishankar has been on The Board of Trustees of The International Headache Society, is a member of The International Headache Society, The American Headache Society and Founder Member of The Asian Headache Foundation. He is also Convenor of The Headache Subsection of The Indian Academy of Neurology. He is on the Editorial Board of ‘Headache Currents’ and is a regular reviewer for the Journals, ‘Cephalalgia’ and ‘Headache’, Neurology India, Annals of The Indian Academy of Neurology and JAPI.

Dr. Ravishankar is a regular Invited speaker at various International and national forums. He has been on the Faculty at The World Congress of Neurology 2009, 2011 and 2013 and at The International Headache Congress 2009 and 2013 and has participated as Faculty at The International Headache Society’s Master School in Brazil. He has written many scientific articles and contributed to many book chapters

Dr. Ravishankar’s work motto is “One needs to enjoy one’s work to do it well and this applies to headache treatment as well. The joy or satisfaction of ridding a headache sufferer of his pain is something which needs to be experienced”. He believes that the long-term care of such patients should always be left to those interested in their management.
